I am the founder and Principal of Concierge Financial Planning, LLC in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. I provide hourly, as needed, Fee-only financial planning advice and comprehensive financial plans to people from all walks of life. As an outreach to the community, I also offer complimentary financial planning seminars on a variety of topics.
The foundation of my financial planning expertise is built from two powerful and distinct experiences, the combination of which provides a uniquely strong base to help people make smart personal financial decisions.
I started the first chapter of my professional financial career swimming with the sharks on Wall Street, working at JP Morgan where I built on my Williams College education via the intense Morgan Finance Program training. I later moved to Bankers Trust Company and was involved in the birth of the financial derivatives market. I ended this phase of my professional career at what is today Deutsche Bank Hong Kong adding an international dimension to my financial experience base.
In the second chapter of my professional financial history, coincident with the early years of my three children, I worked to apply my skills to the non-profit world on a pro bono basis. In many ways, this challenge matched that of Wall Street as the funds are more limited and the consequent need to efficiently save and deploy them is intense.
In founding Concierge Financial Planning, I am marrying skills learned in the first two chapters of my professional life: Wall Street sophistication with a Main Street desire to help people get the best Fee-only financial advice in the most efficient manner.
I am among a small minority of hourly, Fee-only financial planning professional who have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ mark, conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. CFP® practitioners must meet strict education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements. I am also a Retirement Income Certified Professional®. The RICP® is an advanced designation in retirement income planning, which focuses on the transition from assets to income and creating a rich, sustainable livelihood for clients.
As a business owner, I am able to focus solely on my customers without the need to maximize every penny of revenue; there is no boss breathing down my neck to increase “billable hours” and prospect for new clients. This suits me as I am motivated by each client’s success and peace of mind.
